  • Foundations Collection Memories of spending time outdoors with my grandparents at their house inspired this collection titled foundations. As a child, I spent countless hours playing around the fishpond, running through the gardens, and napping under the walnut trees. This collection provides glimpses of those experiences and interactions using my own aesthetic of portraying familiar, natural forms through an often-unexpected geometric approach. Natural materials including semi-precious stones and cocobolo wood are highlighted adding a warmth and depth in this modern yet nostalgic collection.

  • Beauty Revealed Inspired by machinery and the idea of convertibility, this reversible bracelet was a technically driven challenge. Beauty Revealed contains seven hinges, two that operate the bracelet and five that support the outer shell. These hinges allow the shell to be opened and secured on the opposite side, transforming the bracelet and revealing five pyrope garnet stones.

  • Ripple Ring Ripple Ring was an experiment using the historical processes of chasing and repouseeĀ“. This ring is a three finger, sculptural ring with much volume, yet it is very comfortable and easy to wear. The entire piece was created from four separately formed ripples that were then fabricated around a ring shank. Seven colorful, prong set gemstones were incorporated to add pops of color and additional visual interest.

  • Access Denied This two part ring symbolizes my ongoing conflict with food allergies. The middle ring represents a shiny ring pop that is enticing and desired, yet can not be consumed. Encasing the ring pop is a wire constructed cage wrapped in monofilament that encloses the ring pop allowing one to only admire but never touch.

  • Gradual Mist The calm patter of a gentle rainfall inspired the design of gradual mist. Starting at the clasp, the links of the necklace increase in size as they gently flow down the neckline ending with a locket. From the outside, three white topaz stones sparkle in the light. It is composed of 62 individual pieces of sterling silver that were roller printed, cut, pieced together, and soldered to mimic a traditional friendship quilt pattern. The lid is hinged allowing the container to be easily opened and closed.

  • Honey Hive The honey hive is designed to seamlessly transition from a functional storage container to a decorative serving dish. When the honey hive is being stored, the glass honey pot and porcelain lid stack on the porcelain base and are concealed by six flower petals. For serving and entertainment, the flower petals fold down and hold foods that accompany the honey. The glass pot can be set to the side to reveal a LED lighting system in the base which, when illuminated, provides a warming glow throughout the room.
